These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CleanPlay app, website, and related services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.


1. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your state)

  • Have a valid PlayStation Network account

  • Reside in the United States or Canada (currently limited to U.S. and Canada PS5 users)

CleanPlay is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).


2. Description of Services

CleanPlay is a subscription-based service that supports clean energy initiatives and provides digital in-game rewards linked to participation.

We work with third-party renewable energy providers and recognized tracking systems. Environmental markets evolve, and methodologies may change.

CleanPlay does not guarantee specific environmental impact results, emissions reductions, or financial benefits.


3. Account Registration

You may be required to provide:

  • Email address

  • PlayStation Network ID (PSNID)

You are responsible for maintaining account security and all activity under your account.


4. Subscriptions & Billing

4.1 Plans

  • $3.99/month

  • $39.99/year
    Prices may change.

4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through the PlayStation Store and governed by Sony’s payment terms.

4.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

4.4 Cancellation

Manage via PlayStation Account Settings → Subscriptions.

4.5 Refunds

Subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law or PlayStation Store policy. Refund requests must be directed to PlayStation Support.


5. Rewards

Rewards:

  • Are digital and may take up to 24 hours to process

  • Are non-transferable

  • Are tied to the subscribing PSN account

  • May change or be discontinued

We are not responsible for platform restrictions or third-party failures affecting redemption.


6. User Conduct (Acceptable Use)

You agree not to:

  • Violate laws or regulations

  • Interfere with systems or security

  • Reverse engineer the app

  • Exploit rewards or subscription systems

  • Use bots, automation, or fraudulent methods

We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these rules.


7. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, content, and materials are owned by CleanPlay or licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.


8. Privacy

We collect email addresses and PSNIDs to provide Services. Data is stored in secure systems such as HubSpot.

We do not sell personal data. You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent via support@cleanplay.com.


9. Account Deletion

Email support@cleanplay.com with “Account Deletion Request.” Deletion is irreversible and removes rewards and benefits.


10. Third-Party Platforms

CleanPlay operates on PlayStation platforms but is not owned or controlled by Sony. Sony is not responsible for the Services. Use of PlayStation services is subject to Sony’s separate terms.


11. DMCA Copyright Policy

If you believe content infringes your copyright, send notice to:

Include:

  • Your signature

  • Description of the copyrighted work

  • Location of the alleged infringement

  • Contact information

  • Statement of good faith belief

  • Statement under penalty of perjury


12. Disclaimers

Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.


13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, CleanPlay is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid in the past 12 months.


14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify CleanPlay from claims arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.


15. Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, not in court.

You waive:

  • The right to a jury trial

  • Participation in class actions or representative lawsuits

Arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in the United States.

You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@cleanplay.com.


16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, internet outages, platform failures, or government actions.


17. Service Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.


18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.


19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Insert State], USA.
